Seriously, if anybody wants a large file copy of any of the pics, just email me personally at pturgeon@neo.rr.com and I'll send it to you. You'll have to ask Sandy for her autograph yourself, though.

Sandy, Did you mean "Chris, I guess" or "Great photos, I guess". I thought the ones of you turned out nice. Some of the guys are asking for autographed copies. Thanks. -Paul..uh..Chris..uh..whatever.

Sandy, it was great to see you and great job talking Laurie into participating! Based on the overall consumption I observed over the weekend we should just have the reunion out there and kill two birds. I know I'd have plenty of company!

I have a friend, who will remain anonymous, but for this purpose we will call him P. Anyway he tells me that BF is beautiful any time of year...

Vince, It's always been my dream to go to the Betty Ford, but more in Feb. than June. Perhaps our next get together could be in late January.

What a fabulous weekend! It was so much fun to see everyone.

Thanks to all that contributed.

Cary,

Great job at the school. It's nice to know FHS is in such capable hands.

MK- Can you keep this site functional for another 5 years?

Don't worry about the money.....we'll just make a bet with Mac.

Matt- just got out of the burn unit, bandages will be off in a couple of days. Was just trying to support the Indian/Warrior theme.

Paul- great pictures. You were always one step ahead, the rest of us would've had to rely on memories..which may not have been a bad thing.

What a blast! Great to catch up with everybody again. Amazing to see how little everyone has changed, and how easy it is to pick up where we left off 30 years ago like it was yesterday. A class like ours doesn't come along often. Thanks to the reunion committee for a wonderful job.

I uploaded a few pics to the website to help remember the laughs. Sorry to those I missed - some of you had your eyes closed. And relax Matt & Ratt, no one will ever see those ones your worried about.

What a great weekend! My face still hurts from laughing, please, no it's killing me jokes. I'm so glad we have a committee, keep up the good work. And the web-site, fantastic. Glad somebody is paying attention. I seem to have some memory troubles!

What a great time! All of you who worked so hard on putting the evening together - Thank you! It was wonderful to see everyone, my jaws are still sore from all of that talking and laughing! I am very grateful for my superfriend Sandy who got me off of my lazy, anti-social rear end. I sure won't make that mistake next time!

Now that weekend of fun was worth all of the abuse! It was great seeing everyone (even Rattigan). I haven't laughed that hard in a while. We've got some funny ass people in this class!!

Thanks to Cary, Mark, Brian, Chris, and Matt K. for taking charge and making it all happen.

P.S. I can be reached at the Betty Ford Clinic over the next two weeks.

Reunion Recap:

Matt - many thanks for building the WebSite, that's what helped pull everything together; without it there would have just 14 people in Zito's backyard.

Chris - thanks for the hospitality in arranging the Yacht Club for us - what a great venue AND great food. You and Cheri are awesome (glad you married up).

Mark - very nice invocation - WELL DONE - btw, M.Kennedy was on the committee.

Tony Bonacci - thanks for making all those phone calls and locating classmates.

Ron Day - I love the Kooch stories.

Vince - thanks for setting up the Winking Lizard, great idea! We also found out that you supply foods to both the Lizard and the CYC - so I guess you "made out" this weekend - the committee says your entry fee is doubled next time. Oh, btw, next time you sleep in a hammock, use sun screen - 60spf - nice tan!

Wilk, Mac, Jamie, Matt - Is it north or south?

The Fun Runners/Walkers: I admire your ambition.

The Sat Morning Tour Group - thanks for coming - the tower was worth it all!

Brian - I think Mr. Kovach is still waiting for his cab at the 25th reunion.

Ratt - Which airport are you in right now? Hey, don't brings wives into it!!

Erin - we will definitely have the Drill Team uni at the 35th - bring your own Pom-pons.

Sandy - as always, Great Smile!!

Dick - if you don't make it next time, you're exempt from the class!

Byrne - you never finished that one story.....

Karabs - great to see you, keep in touch!

Rock Shop - although no one danced (except Connie, and Dave wouldn't), we loved the music - you're great!

To All - thanks for attending! There were many great conversations and memories. The Spirit of '76 lives on!!

and Beware - as soon as you enter the "message board", you're open game............................

Dick,
Vince vowed to stay at the Winking Lizard until you show. Something about you owing him $6.00.

Erin,
Your pom poms are in great shape. Some things never change.

Dostal,
The hair coloring looked great, relax.

To the committee...terrific job, looking forward to 2011.

And for those who wondered...yes, I have a job, and also a blackberry....

For those who might scratch their (bald) heads...

Fenian - One of a legendary group of heroic Irish warriors of the second and third centuries A.D.

As the only true 100% irishman, I thank you for the complement....

See you Saturday squaw

You guys are all talk. I was at the golf course this a.m. in full Indian Maiden regalia and didn't see any of you Feenians. Wasn't a total loss though. Some guy handed me a twenty, called me "squaw" and told me to get 4 beers for him and his buddies.

Wow, I don't know what to say....my pom poms are still in good shape?

06-22-06

Vince popular?
Now that's funny...
Much like this internet blog, he was picked on and teased endlessly.
Vince...popular?
You're killing me...

06-22-06
Posted by PWM, SME Class of '76
Mark, you must be upset that neither Croatia nor Serbia & Montenegro made it past the first round.

Vince, I feel for you man. You must have been popular back in 76.

Just to let you all know; if during the reunion you run into a squirrely guy who seems to know a LOT of inside jokes and information about you, yet you can't quite place him as a classmate, it's just me. The guy who's been posting all of these messages for the past few weeks, and who really wants to see who Erin and Sandy are, and put down a few with Rattigan, Karaba, Cary, J Mac and Matt Byrne.

Oh, the wonders of the internet. If only my own class reunion committe had a Matthew Kennedy to lead the way.

My own 30-year reunion occurs in Kansas City on July 1st, but don't be surprised if I pass that up to listen in on what everyone has to say about Dick, who so eloquently has evaded another date with his own past.

06-22-06

Erin,
If there is one thing for sure it is that I will not be outbid. $750 cash....

06-22-06
Posted by Vince
Lizard uppdate, 24 hours to go and the tab is at $125.00, not bad with $3.00 drafts. One table and a chair reserved so far. I'll try for more later. Dick, do those Crowns start on Thursday after 9:00?

Ratt's GPA 2.15, Mac's Blood Alcohol at 1.95, Erin in the Indian Dress...Priceless

Matt, if you're staying at the house let me know..do you still need the plastic sheets?

Do you and Ratt still want the Queen Bed?

Mac, just realized your avg daily blood alcohol has now surpassed your career batting avg.

Paul sorry you can't make it Friday, enjoy the American Idol reruns on VH1

It's been fun. See everyone live at the Lizard on Detroit in Avon (Westlake) around 7:30-8:00...if it sucks we're heading to Stampers and blaming Mac.

06-22-06

Erin,

$500 and we'll play Mastick Woods.

06-22-06
Posted by Mark Petro
Matt don't ever call me pocahontas again, and I'm Slovak.

Dick...what's gpa? Is gpa like golf? Do I win something for being the lowest? I'm pretty sure I beat you.

Paul, correction I hired that 68 year old to give Vince a Lap Dance I was hoping she was going to be a little older.

06-22-06
Posted by Matthew Kennedy
Mac - 100 beans to ride in your cart with your irish pocahontas...

don't you owe me money anyway?

06-22-06
Posted by Mark Petro
I heard Vince owns the LIZARD now.

Mac, Damn.... you guys with all the money get the girls. Just be careful when you meet Erins dad be nice be confident and bring Vince with you he'll be a ditraction.

Paul, I'll have you know I'm still at my playing weight.........if you weigh me with equipment on and after the North Olmsted Monsoon game.

Paul I'll wear that outfit for $20 as long as you wear the sequin outfit that Sandy has. You better bring one from your closet in case she forgets hers.

Mac, everbody on the email is in. Did you get the email from Brian. Give me a call if you need the details.

06-22-06
Posted by Rattigan
Dick,
Will do, althought I cannot make the WL pre-party...I will keep Vince supplied with many libations on Saturday.

Erin,
The other thing Vince has in common with my gpa is his weight....
PS: I will up the ante to $100 for you to come in costume. Heavens knows McAllister will be wearing the same thing he wore in 76...

Jeff Mac..
Police update, the 68 year old woman he tried to molest was just his mother bringing him a change of clothes...no charges filed.

Cary, any time you want to compare, just let me know...or ask your wife...

WHAT'S WRONG WITH 2.3 GPA ANYWAY

06-22-06
Posted by Cary
Erin - great comment about Vince's alcohol level; but it takes a 3.5 before he's drunk.

Everyone - save some material for Friday night! Can't wait! Especially the part about the boots!

06-22-06
Posted by j.mc
sweet, I have a caddie. I will cover the tens!!!let's just hope Vinnie's blood al. level doesn't get to dan stock's GPA

06-22-06
Posted by Dick Johnson
I guess I'm the black sheep of our "Family". I had my valedictorian speech ready back in 76, I thought my 2.31 would do it. At least I beat you.
Cary: Thanks for the offer to move me up to #300!
Paul:
When you get to the Blinkin' Lizard, order me a Crown Royal, if I'm not there by 9, give to Vince.

06-22-06
Posted by j mca
after his first 32 beers Vince is taking a break and is leaving the Lizard. If anyone needs him he is at the Cabin Club.

06-22-06
Posted by Erin
Yes, I will be Mac's caddie wearing my Indian Maiden outfit if enough of you have 10 bucks for me.

PJR - What a coindicence...your gpa being equal to Vinny's current blood alcohol level.

Cary, itts aboout tiim i woned an akerdemac awered

06-22-06

06-22-06

Mark - please be careful about the "pretty girls" comment. Many of my collegues end up on the cover of the Metro Section.

Ratt - 2.3? Size isn't everything!

06-22-06
Posted by j mcall
rat, How did you get ahead of me for that honor? I warned Vince, told him to just put his helmet on and ride his bike up there.

06-22-06

bad news again. Vince has been kicked out of the Lizard. Seems he was drunk and was caught molesting a 68 yr old woman.

06-22-06

Cary,
Thank you for acknowledging my academic achievements, how I became valedictorian with a 2.3 gpa is beside me but I'll take all the accolades I can get. PS: what was the routing number of your savings account?

Dick,
Isn't the class of 76 your family? I guess we know where we stand....

Erin...
Please bring the Indian Maiden outfit anyway, I will offer Mark another $10 to put it on...

Listen to this:
I just went through the archieves of the school computer records and found that Mark Petro, Dan Stock and Steve Martino are all a semester credit short in Government; technically they are not graduates with the Class of '76. Hey guys, John Marshall holds summer school.

Also, after some careful grade manipulations, I just made Paul Ratt our new class Valedictorian and Jeff Mac our Salutatorian! Congratulations men!!

Hey Dick - if you can make it down from Cheesehead Heaven, we'll move up to 300th in the class. (Still ahead of Petro)

Mac, how many rounds have you played getting ready to clean us all out?

Jeff Bloch, are you bring Denise Maskovyak for old times sake?

Theresa that will teach you not to miss yearbook pictures.

Whose bringing the"GRASS MASK"?

Hello Everyone:

I have spoken to several people who say they would be able to come to a bar on Friday night. Any chance that could happen. I seem to remember that we met at the bar on Lorain last time. Also, Stampers might be good...theres always the Swinging Door!@#
Great Web Site!

The last anyone saw of Keith Wilcox, he was being dragged out of the auditorium by Roger Canfield for starting a newspaper fire.....
Can one search Ohio prisons via the web?

Matt, You'll be surprised to learn, I'm really not that organized...still trying to talk my husband into a trip to Cleveland, hate to give up a weekend of golf. You may have to golf with him!

Paul - you're on Keith Wilcox
Mac - Wilk can have 3 minutes to talk about his bake sale
Cindy - I have your program, thank you, I will try to update and why are you YELLING? Does Bill have a hearing problem?
Dave S- thanks for the J. Connor find - happy anniversary
K Karaba - you are starting sh*t...again?
Holly - have Joe call Doug and tell him to get out from under his rock and come to the reunion
Jim B - I am sorry Garnett kids are slow to catch on, Chris Z says we can not change the date. And call Tony.

I checked my work sched-I am on call for work, so that will put a crimp in things a bit. With the numbers of folks still just finding out, how hard would it be to move the date back a bit? How much is hard booked?

We have less than a month to go and we have 20 people signed in!
(Vince is still on twice so we are realizing 19)

Someone is going to have to take the nut on this thing a start calling people and sending card pdfs - look to your left for the pdf.

I'll start by calling all of the Vinces.

We have the "Save-the-Date" card on the site in a pdf form. You can download the pdf, print it out or e-mail it to an out of touch classmate.

Look to your left - it's the thing that looks like a card.

Hey Mac,
If I remember correctly there were another 20 shots hoisted by his guard running mate...can't remember who that was. I think you had ten steals that game, all against Jaime. Did we break 30 points in that game?

I see a poster board night developing at Petey's house, any volunteers with crayons?

Bill says to include him in for golf...maybe Friday morning or Saturday after the school tour.
How about the Indians/Reds game Friday night? Possibly a block of bleacher seats?
I have passed the website onto to Patty Rainbow, Kerry Maloney and Nancy Vintilla. I see Nancy passed it on to Jane Moller, who has responded.

Nice to see a lot of you at the Tom Olson Classic. Jamie has his golf game honed as Mr. Kennedy"Chipped in as he said he does at least twice a round.Kevein Karaba is still a good athlete! I could not get Jamie to tell the story when he put up 55 shots in a Jr>.High basketball game!!! I remember this well because the rest of us never touched the ball. See you all soon. ps. Matt,
You forgot to mention for those not as ambitious on Saturday morning, we have the the first annual "Detention Box" Alumni sponsored Bloody Mary Crawl.

Scheduled for Saturday at noonish or whenever you get there. Start at Thirsty's and take the leisurely scenic stumble via the back parking lot and end at the VFW for .95 cent cans of PBR's. Look for Kurt's van, it may still be running.

No drooling on the bar!

05-13-06

Paul,
The web site is an information center. The home page should have a few activities updates next week.

A "save the date" mailing card will be going out to everyone on the last address contact list by the end of next week.

05-12-06

Is the sole registration via this website? Was or is there going to be a mailing based on last address contact list?

Ron always has a great idea... are you still in Philly?

Hey everyone:
I don't have the van anymore sorry. However, over the last 30 years I've had some mini-vans. Now that the kids are getting ready to graduate and move on I'm thinking of an RV. I'll park it in the Bain Park parking lot or by the auto shop...oops sorry, auto shop is not there any longer. Looking forward to seeing everyone in June.

05-12-06
Posted by Matthew Kennedy

Thanks for logging in Sandy. You now make 10 1/2 people with your maybe.

Sandy here's a thought, in July you, Matt (Swiss-Stamm), Ron D. and of course all of the Vinces can get a few Genny Creams, some Swiss chocolate, a van, cruise the Valley and end up at Chris Z's garage and do the reunion thing there...

If the van does not work Brian McB. can supply and old Checker with a few of the finest lawn chairs.

Make sure you take a video camera and a fishing rod-the carp are biting in Rocky river.

05-12-06
Posted by Matthias Stamm

heck, on good old "classmates com" page also Karen Gerard, Kathy Hamann, Pam Callahan signed on. Anyone know their e-mail add. to wake them up, so by end-of July we are 14! Kurt Field, still have yr van? better get it ready!

05-12-06
Posted by Ron Day

Count me in on the fun...maybe we could just rent a van and cruise the Valley all night!

05-12-06
Posted by Sandy Funk

Matt, If we postpone it until end of July, we can be up to 11, with Matt Stamm!

05-11-06
Posted by Vince DiDonna

At this point I'm thinking we save on expenses and move it to Zito's living room. With the savings we could up the beer selection from Genny's to Molson. I'll bring the chips.

Matt, would it be worth the trip if Scriver signed up? We'd be back to 11???

05-11-06
Posted by Matthias Stamm

Hi there - congrats on the website! unfortunately will not be able to join (living in Zurich, Switz.). But will come to Cleveland arr. July 23 dep. Aug8 with my family. Would be great to meet some of you. would be ready for a 5K run... and/or a beer. matthias.stamm@eds.com

05-10-06
Posted by Matthew Kennedy
From the looks of things, we are going to have 10 people at the reunion this year based on the CLASS DIRECTORY on this site.

(Factor in the fact that Vince is signed up twice, once as DiDonna and once as Shriver - minus one = 9 and Petro is not signed up yet - plus one = 10, that's a wash). I am not traveling to Cleveland and spending the evening drinking beer and listening to the two Vinces...

Someone better get in touch with Jim Hefren (class prez.) and kick this thing in the a**!!

Let's go!!

05-09-06
Posted by Paul Rattigan
Vince,
That's the story teller I remember. Actually I think you were known for most beers consumed during our lunch period.

Kevin,
We could only be blessed by a TISH reunion. Call Duane Bubsey ASAP...

Scriver is an acronym for Screw driver.

Anyway, I think Vince is fishing somewhere and will not make the reunion because his boat is stuck on a sand bar.
